OUR VALUES

A Statement on Thought Fox’s Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion 11.8.24

As an organization rooted in principles of equity and inclusion, Thought Fox is a space that embraces liberal values and does not tolerate hate in any form.

At Thought Fox, we are committed to creating a supportive community where every voice matters. We celebrate diversity in all its forms—whether in background, perspective, or life experience—and believe that an inclusive space is essential to our work as writers and storytellers. We encourage each person to bring their full self to the table, confident in the knowledge that their voice will be heard and valued.

We believe that storytelling is a powerful tool for exploring complex and sometimes uncomfortable subjects, and that addressing these topics through art can be a meaningful way to foster change and understanding. As we exercise our right to free speech and engage with difficult topics, we ask that everyone in our community do so conscientiously, respectfully, and with a dedication to craft. We believe that words hold immense power to connect, heal, and enlighten, and that each of us has a responsibility to use them thoughtfully.

Thank you for being part of our community. Together, let’s build a creative space where respect, inclusivity, and a commitment to growth allow all voices to thrive.

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that Thought Fox operates on the ancestral lands of the Pequot, Mohegan, and Narragansett peoples. These Indigenous communities have stewarded this land, the coastal waters, and the environment of what is now called Stonington, Connecticut, for generations. We honor their history, culture, and enduring presence, and we recognize our responsibility to understand and respect the legacies of this land as we gather to learn and create.
